Refund Policy

At Spec Finder, we are committed to providing a seamless and transparent vehicle brokerage experience. Please read our refund policy carefully, as it outlines the terms and conditions under which we offer refunds or partial refunds for our services.

1. Vehicle Purchase Refund Policy

As an auto broker, we facilitate the purchase of vehicles from third-party sellers. The following conditions apply to refund requests for vehicle purchases:

Deposit and Service Fees

  • Non-Refundable Deposit: A non-refundable deposit is required to secure a vehicle purchase through our brokerage services. This deposit covers our time and administrative costs.

  • Service Fees: Any fees paid for our brokerage services are non-refundable once the service has been initiated. These include consultation, vehicle sourcing, and any other related services.

Refund on Vehicle Purchase

  • Seller's Return Policy: Our ability to process refunds depends on the return policy of the seller. If the seller accepts returns, we will assist in facilitating the process. However, Spec Finder  is not responsible for the seller’s refund or return conditions, and restocking or return fees may apply.

  • Mechanical Defects: If the vehicle has undisclosed mechanical issues, we will work with the seller to resolve the issue, which may include a refund or a partial refund. Spec Finder is not liable for mechanical issues that were disclosed at the time of purchase or that arise after the vehicle has been delivered.

  • No Refunds After Purchase Completion: Once the transaction is complete, and the vehicle has been delivered to you, no refunds will be issued for the vehicle itself.

2. Car Shipping Refund Policy

If you’ve arranged shipping through our brokerage services, please review the following terms regarding cancellations and refunds.

Cancellation and Refunds

  • Before Pickup: If you choose to cancel your vehicle shipment before the transport company arrives to pick up the vehicle, we will issue a refund minus a non-refundable deposit or any processing fees that have already been incurred.

  • After Pickup: If the vehicle has already been picked up by the transport carrier, a full refund is not possible. We may be able to issue a partial refund based on the stage of the shipping process and any applicable charges.

  • Shipping Delays: We do our best to ensure timely deliveries. However, Spec Finder is not responsible for delays caused by unforeseen circumstances, including weather, traffic, road closures, or carrier-related issues. No refunds will be issued for delays outside of our control.

Damaged Vehicle During Shipping

  • Insurance: Vehicles transported through our services are covered by the carrier’s insurance. If your vehicle is damaged during transport, we will assist you in filing a claim with the carrier’s insurance. Claims will be processed according to the carrier’s terms.

  • Minor Wear and Tear: Please note that minor cosmetic damage (e.g., scratches, chips, dents) during transport is not covered by the carrier’s standard insurance policy. We recommend taking photos of the vehicle before it is picked up to document its condition.

3. Refund Process and Timeline

Refunds, when applicable, will be processed as follows:

  • Approval: Refunds are subject to review and approval based on the above criteria. Once approved, refunds will be processed within 7-14 business days.

  • Refund Method: Refunds will be issued to the original payment method unless otherwise agreed upon.

  • Communication: You will receive an email confirmation once your refund has been processed.

4. Additional Terms

  • Customer Responsibility: It is the customer's responsibility to ensure the vehicle is in good condition for transport and to disclose any relevant details about the vehicle (e.g., condition, modifications, non-operational status) before shipping.

  • Change of Mind: If you change your mind after a transaction has been processed, Spec Finder is under no obligation to provide a refund, except as required by applicable law.

5. Exceptions to the Refund Policy

The following circumstances may limit or exclude your ability to receive a refund:

  • Change of Vehicle: If you change your mind about the vehicle after agreeing to purchase, or if you decide not to proceed with the transaction, no refund will be provided on the brokerage fees or the non-refundable deposit.

  • Unforeseen Events: Spec Finder is not liable for any refunds or compensation in cases of force majeure events (e.g., natural disasters, pandemics, strikes).
